Late 19thC Polished Steel & Brass Cutwork Desk Seal

A rare and unusual form of desk seal, this early 20th century example exudes quality from its steel and brass work.  The steel handle, of rounded top form  is polished with the underside composed of open cut polished, unpolished steel and brass pattern work  with the tapering stem comprised of similar open cut work utilising the three metals and tapering to a collar with equally flamboyant cut work to a circular steel matrix, finely engraved with a cypher.
