A substantial turned beech handle with roughly engraved 1701 on the rounded top. The tapering stem expanding to a larger width with bands. The circular brass matrix is well engraved with central image of tree within a grassy field being blown sideways by a strong gust of (Divine) wind from clouds above. Inscription reads: PREMITUR SEDNON OPPRISMIT (Pressed but not overwhelmed) and circumscription reading: NOT: PUBL: CAESA: CARL FRIEDRICH REYHER. This seal was made for the lawyer, Carl Reyher, who, rather charmingly, depicted the image of the tree being bent without being overcome to highlight his motto.
