A good example of a French early 19th century brass stamp socket (without handle) for the mayor's office in the French town of BOUHEY. The circular matrix stamp is well cut with three central fleur de lys under a royal coronet and the inscription within a lined border reading:
MAIRIE DE BOUHEY * (DEPARTEMENT DE LA COTE-D'OR)
Bouhey is a commune in the Côte-d'Or department in eastern France.
