An 18th century French desk seal of simple wood and brass form, the handle of turned fruitwood with simple pommel top, tapering to an oval brass matrix, engraved with a central cartouche comprising three heads of wheat with intertwining stems, under a marquis' helm and attractive floral decoration within a lined border.
