French 18thC Wood & Brass Armorial Desk Wax Seal

Seal Detail

Short and stubby wood and brass desk seal from France, the  circular brass matrix well engraved with a central shield comprising lion rampant below three aligned Moorish heads, with a comtal crested helm above and plenty of attractive mantling comprised of saltire wings within a beaded border.

In excellent original condition .
