Fine Early 19thc French Silver & Wood Armorial Desk Seal

Seal Detail

A fine example of a French 19th century armorial desk seal, the handle of turned wood of mushroom form, the tapering stem to an unmarked silver banded collar and integral oval matrix, engraved with a central shield standing on a plinth, comprising rose under a coronet with lion supporters.  

The seal is in very good condition commensurate with its age.
