19thC English Fine Brown Agate Armorial Desk Seal

Seal Detail

A highly tactile and attractive agate desk seal, of a carmel brown colouring with flat top and fluted tapering sides to an integrated oval matrix, well engraved with the shield comprising chevron and three fleur de lys.  A simple, as yet unidentified armorial but elegantly done and the agate is in superb condition given its age dating back to the latter part of the 19th century.
