Dated 1725 Brass Wood Named Tobacconist Personal Armorial Desk Seal

Seal Detail

A small wood and brass desk seal, the handle of turned wood of stubby proportions tapering to a brass collar and integrated circular brass seal. The rim engraved with a positioning cross and the matrix incorporating central shield under a mantle above which is a bull carrying pennant. The shield is surrounded with ornate garlands and the circumscription reads: NOOTHER FRIED * IUSTUS * TOBACONEST * BUTMYSELE 1725 * 

The seal is in excellent condition commensurate for its age, save for some historical loosening of the handle but remains intact.
