Seal Detail

A hardstone desk seal, probably Continental, circa 1900, neatly banded in sand, brown and white agate with faceted tapering handle, lightly fluted at the top, the oval integral matrix engraved with a decorative coat of arms comprising a tree crest, helm, mantling, reed and fruit supporters and shield.

A spectacular agate seal in excellent condition with barely a discernible mark to detract from its brilliance.
