c1500 Medieval Silver Fob Seal - Robert Dukenfield

An excellent example of a personal, identified,  armorial silver fob seal in superb condition with an attachment label, probably mid 17th century.

Presented here is an excellent example of a late medieval silver fob seal, dating to c1500, of trefoil suspension loop form with large circular integral matrix, the obverse engraved with pointing flower, the reverse well engraved with a personal armorial of a shield and helm together with an inscription, reading:
