A smokey glass desk seal made in Russia in the late 19th century with an engraved matrix.  The handle of faceted tapering form with oval button cap above fluting, fluted collar, the integral oval matrix engraved with gothic initials: NE above the name: RIVIN, below the coronet of an untitled nobleman.
