Seal Detail

A fine specimen of a seal, dating to circa 1810, the handle of turned labernum hardwood of flat top form, tapering stem to a banded silver collar and integral oval matrix, well engraved with a quartered armorial with decoration to both top (in the form of a tied bow) and sides within a lined border.

The arms are those of GRIFFITH quartering HAMPTON of Co. Anglesea
