Antique Late 18thC Continental Brass Socket Desk Wax Seal

Seal Detail

A large and imposing brass socket desk seal, with handle missing, the brass socket with stepped collar with decorative beading bands and large circular integral matrix, engraved with a Continental armorial comprising quartered shield below a ducal coronet with curious "Q" centrally engraved.  At base, a pair of crossed floral fronds.

In good condition but the matrix appears to have a light surface texture.
