A fine 19th century Irish hardstone and silver antique wax desk seal, the handle of baluster form with rounded top made of a most impressive polished hardstone of mainly dark blue hues, tapering to a silver flared collar with rubbed silver marks to a circular integral matrix, well engraved with the arms for the family, Freeman, of county Cork, Ireland comprising shield, helm and crest, mantling and motto at base reading:
