The reddish agate handle of tapering faceted form with single band at shoulder, cut-cornered rectangular section, flower chased gold collar and domed cushion, the circular bloodstone matrix engraved with the name: Sarah in script below a countess's coronet.

Made for Sarah, wife of Henry, 3rd Earl of Warwick, between 1816 and her death in 1851.
