A stunning 19th century desk seal, formed by a solid lump of bloodstone, showing well the colours of the moss green underlying colour with myriad colours of red and paler greens running throughout, the handle of flat-top form, with fluted top rim and facetted stem to an oval matrix, engraved with a monogram MJ within a lined border

Presented in excellent condition with no apparent chips to the fine edges.
