Seal Detail

A stunning gold and crystal armorial desk seal dating to the early 19th century, the handle of flat top form with faceted stem sides, tapering to a tall gold integral collar and mount with a rectangular bloodstone matrix with rounded corners, well engraved with an armorial comprising shield beneath a winged ducal coronet and, out of a castle tower, a woman's bust.

In superb condition overall with one small chip in the handle base and occasional fleabites.
