A fine Bavarian late 18th/early19th century steel and brass personal armorial desk seal, the octagonal steel handle of rounded top form, tapering to a circular mount and brass matrix, well and deeply engraved with a central armorial comprising quartered shield under a helm and crest of plumes of feathers, mantling and inscription within a beaded border, reading:

A personal seal with deep engraving and presented in excellent condition. The top of the steel handle has a small casting fault.
