A heavy silver socket desk seal of oval form with deep collar and fine engraving comprising central shield within which a blazing sun and the inscription
CHARITAS
under a stylised coronet and a circumscription within a beaded border, reading:
SIGILLUM. MAIVS ORDI. MINIM. S. FRAN. DE PAVLA IN. PROV. HISPAL.
A Spanish seal relating to St. Francisco De Paula, a hermit who founded the Order of the Minimums in the 15th century - the word Minimums relates to the humility that the Order shared. This seal shows the stylised shield and emblem used by the Order of the sun with the wording CHARITAS under a coronet.
