An unusual and rare French silver desk seal, of octagonal form, without handle, well and deeply engraved with a central depiction of  a desk mounted globe, marked with quadrants and sundials, under an inscription reading:

LEX QUODCUMQUE NOTAMUS

A seal for the Paris Chambre of Notaries, with their motto.
