A beautifully striated agate handle of flat top, faceted form tapering to tall reeded gold collar and reeded cushion mount, the obverse with carnelian oval matrix. The arms as engraved of this widow's personal seal dating in style to the late 18th century to 19th century are those of the family of Cope impaling.  This armorial commemorates the marriage of an unnamed gentleman of the Cope family to an unnamed daughter of the Edmonstone family.
