An 1860's Steel and Wood Desk Wax Seal - The Royal Agricultural Hall Company

A large and substantial 19th Century desk seal, of social historical value of wood and steel.

The wooden handle with a mushroom terminal, to a circular steel matrix engraved to the border "THE ROYAL AGRICULTURAL HALL COMPANY LIMITED" with a depiction of a pastoral scene including cow, sheep and pig amongst agricultural tools with a steam engine to the centre and factory with tall chimney behind, with a nicely engraved floral border.

An unusual and fascinating seal recording a bit of social history from the 1860's at a time when things were done properly!  Presented here in excellent condition.
