Seal Detail

A gold-mounted hardstone triple-swivel desk seal, English, circa 1875, the Indian bloodstone pommel handle terminating in a gold covered kettle-drum form overlayed with wirework hearts on a looped band, the gold swivel inlaid with oval bloodstone, onyx and white chalcedony matrices, the last engraved with a crest. The crest is of a demidragon holding a key, believed to be for the Cole family. 

A most impressive large swivel seal made with elegant and exacting materials presented in excellent condition.
