An interesting an unusual ebony, brass and copper skull memento mori desk seal, the handle of ebony of flat top for, tapering to  brass collar and oval copper matrix, engraved with a  central motif of  skull with an inscription in a belt and buckle border, reading;

TO THIS COMPLEXION WE MUST COME AT LAST

An interesting sentimental message, originally Shakespearean and intended to be a memento mori - or reminder of ones' mortality - as was popular in the 18th and 19th centuries.  An interesting example and although showing some wear to the inscription, is a fascinating example of this very popular theme of seal.
