A rare and unusually intact example of a 19th century seal engraver's sample impression folio. The leather case, furnished with gilded edges and London engraver's details on the front and rear, reading EDWIN G. WARNER, 30 HIGH STREET NOTTING HILL GATE W. is hinged and opens to display two sides of red wax armorial impressions, contrasting against navy blue velvet backing, totalling 13 in total. Ranging from personal arms, foreign banks to religious and on to racecourses! Beautifully detailed impressions highlighting the extraordinary skill of the engraver and although some of the precious impressions have been cracked over time due to their fragile nature, they remain a beautiful collection of historical impressions for any keen collector.
