18thC Silver Germanic Bishop's Armorial Fob Seal

A late 18th century silver Continental Bishop's fob wax seal, the handle of simple arch form with suspension loop at top, the oval matrix well engraved with an armorial comprising shield, tree surmounting a fortified tower and initials IA & R, the shield surmounted by mitre and crosier with an eye of providence, and at top, a saturno with six tassles suspended either side, all within a lined border.

Although as yet unidentified, this is a superb example of a bishop's seal, rich with symbolism and style.  Presented here in excellent condition.
