17/18thC Silver French Count's Fob Seal
Seal Detail
An interesting and engaging French silver Count's fob seal, the handle formed of two intertwined floral branches to an oval matrix, engraved with an armorial shield comprising two three-leaved clovers under a bovine head under a Count's coronet, with crossed feathered branches at base. Of additional interest is the faint remains of a pair of initials DA which appear to have been later filled to erase.
Such a charming fob seal......!
