Seal Detail
A bronze seal matrix, 14th century, of elliptical form, the reverse with central flat rib terminating in a shaped ring, the obverse engraved with the Agnus Dei with three symbols of the Passion; a pennant, lance and sponge, within a gothic inscription reading:
S. FRIS. BOF. IDI.ORDINIS. CRUCIFFERORV
The seal of Brother (Boniface?) of the Canons Regular of the Order of the Holy Cross (the "Crutched Friars"). In excellent condition.
