Late 14thC Medieval Silver Fob Seal

A fine medieval silver fob seal dating to the late 14th century or early 15th century, of vessica form with fin and suspension loop on the reverse, the obverse well and deeply engraved with a depiction of an eagle sitting on a gloved arm with circumscription within lined border reading:

...in other words, suggesting to the one who has received a letter, that they should:

"Break the seal, Read the contents then Hide the deed"

The seal is presented in excellent condition;
