Intriguing Armorial Glass Block Seal Matrix

Seal Detail

An exquisitely intricate carving on a fragile material, this glass seal matrix features a very detailed coat of arms comprising elaborate shield beneath dual crests, with a motto scroll reading IN CRUCE SALUS (Salvation Comes From The Cross) all within a lined border. 

Although the armorial and motto are as yet unidentified, it is believed the armorial is of English origin. It is offered for sale in generally very good condition given the raw nature of the glass with no apparent damage to the matrix surface.
