Fine 19thC French Ebony & Silver Count's Desk Seal

Seal Detail

A fine example of a French 18th century ebony and silver desk seal, the ebony handle tapering to a silver collar stamped with a poincon mark and an oval matrix, engraved with central shield under a Comtal coronet, twin rinceaux draping either side with a Saint-Louis Order suspended underneath within a beaded border.
