Charming late 18th century English silver rotating fob seal, the handle of typical frame form showing English Sterling silver marks, with suspension loop and sprung lock in the centre, hinged to double-spinning matrices, one engraved with stylised initials: SS , the other nicely engraved with a pictorial view of a period dressed lady mourning over an anchor.  Interestingly, the matrices rim is struck with English hallmarks, indicating London 1795.

In wonderful overall condition; nice patina and charming sentimental depiction of a wife waiting for her naval husband to return home......
