Seal Detail
A fine 18th century wood and silver desk seal, the handle of turned rosewood of rounded top form and tapering stem with incised bands leading to an oval silver matrix, well and deeply engraved with the coat of arms of the Lenthal family of Bessels Leigh, in the county of Berkshire, within a beaded border.
In excellent condition given its age, with some minor historical damage to the fine bands on the stem.
