19thc UK Ebonised Wood and Steel Armorial Desk Seal - STEVENS

Seal Detail

Ebonised wood handled desk seal of rounded top form tapering simple brass collar and rectangular steel matrix with rounded corners, (including the engraved maker's name CARL HUPP, DUSSELDORF) engraved with the arms and motto reading:

AD DIEM TENDO ("I Strive Towards the Day")

The seal attributed to the family Stevens dated to circa 1900  and presented in very good overall condition.
