He is best known as one of \u003c\/span\u003eEngland's first abolitionists\u003cspan\u003e, and as the author of the poem for children \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eThe Butterfly's Ball, and the Grasshopper's Feast\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.
