19thC Copper Matrix Armorial Desk Wax Seal

Seal Detail

A 19th century personal armorial oval wax seal, the flat mount plate with canted corners made of brass with the reverse showing signs of soldering, the matrix of copper and well engraved with a central unidentified armorial shield, comprising male torso and head with helm above and replicated torso and head crest.  Twin supporters of stag and classically dressed male figure, standing on.a decorative ground within a lined border. 

An interesting and unusual seal.
