19thC Continental Lapis and Brass Armorial Desk Seal

A well-found 19th century Continental lapis and brass armorial desk seal, the handle of rounded top form made of lapis, tapering slightly to a thin scrolled brass band collar and fluted cushion to a circular matrix, well engraved with central shield below twin crests and plumy mantling. 

A wonderful full matrix comprising two crests together with a beautiful handle.  The seal is in excellent condition although there does appear to be an historic horizontal crack in the handle which may suggest a repair but the handle feels strong and secure.
