18thC French Wood & Brass Baron's Armorial Wax Seal

A fine French 18th century desk seal, the turned fruitwood handle of rounded top form, tapering to a tall brass collar and oval brass matrix, well engraved with a shield comprising central tall tree in leaf between two broken-trunked trees under three stars, beneath a Baron's coronet and floral decorative mantling within a beaded border and shell at base. 

An interesting armorial of the tall tree and stars - and the broken trees either side......!
